It’s adventure time today. We head to Tulum to check out the ruins. We get up oh-so early and jump on the collectivo with the whole crew for 8am. Rorie lends her sandwich making skills to help prepare our snack for the day.

Tulum is located in a sweet spot on cliffs above the beach. We arrive to buy tickets to see some rescue coatis. Kai thinks they look like a mix between a cat, raccoon, monkey and lemur. So cute!
Kai and I listen to an archeological app that tours us through the site. There’s not much interactivity here. The kids most enjoy spotting lizards on the ruins.
These birds were like mini ostriches combined with a road runner.
A little rest in the wind at the top of the cliff gives some time for games.
